About BodyMind
BodyMind Therapy was started by Hannah Milward, a Registered Nurse based on Waiheke Island. Hannah has a background in exercise science, movement therapy, somatic awareness, trauma processes and bodywork (many different types of massage and work with the tissues of the body).
"I have studied Compassionate Inquiry (the modality as taught by Dr Gabor Mate), Integrative Hypnotherapy, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).
Therapy and mindfulness processes. I have traveled extensively and gained knowledge and skills from traditional healers and shamans across many cultures and communities. Life has presented me with many personal challenges. From serious injury and chronic pain, to working through the trauma of abuse. I have overcome depression, anxiety and addiction - I know what it takes to change for the better. Personal experience and DOING the work, has been my greatest teacher"
Hannah works with Gary Walker who is a Mental Fitness Health Practitioner with a BSc in Psychology. Gary is a Master NLP and Hypnotherapy practitioner, a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and has his Diploma in Business Management.
